When traveling, sometimes I am reminded of wishes as well.
This past weekend I spent four days in Quebec City for the Carnaval de Quebec, an annual winter festival with snow sculptures, ice sculptures and dog sled rides. It was truly amazing!
On Sunday, we traveled to the Hotel de Glace, or the Ice Hotel. It was a beautiful - but cold - place people go to stay. It was amazing to see all the ice and snow carvings and the amount of detail that went into each room. This triggered a memory for me and I had to look it up when I got home.
Yes, once a wish kid used his wish to go to an ice hotel! This was a different hotel, one in Sweden. Cody of North Texas learned about this hotel on the Discovery Channel and his passion for architecture made him wish to stay there.

Even though I didn't see the hotel Cody did, the ice hotel I went to certainly gave me a taste of what his wish was and the reasons behind it. Anyone interested in architecture would love to explore something as amazing as this and once again I am fascinated and impressed by the creative wishes our wish kids across the country come up with. And, Cody certainly holds the record for the COLDEST wish granted by a Make-A-Wish chapter!
