Jewelers for Children (JFC) has renewed its commitment to Make-A-Wish and has donated $575,000 to grant 62 wishes across the country – wish experiences that have the potential to serve as a turning point in wish kids’ medical treatment helping them feel better, and in some cases, even get better.
Thanks to their support, here in Maine 11 year old Ava had her wish to go to Hawaii granted! Ava shared her dream trip with her best friend and flew to sunny Hawaii in April. Among the Hawaiian activities was a visit to Sera Life Park for a dolphin adventure!
JFC and Day’s Jewelers in Auburn partnered with us for Ava’s wish party. The staff created a memorable afternoon for her complete with her favorite flavor of cake: strawberry.
They also gave Ava a necklace by Hawaiian designer Denny Wong, which will be a beautiful reminder of her wish come true for years to come. In fact, Ava proudly wore her necklace on her flight to Hawaii!
“We are proud to once again have the support of Jewelers for Children in supporting Maine wishes. Our local partners at Day’s Jewelers in Auburn went above-and-beyond to deliver a memorable wish party for Ava. We are grateful to have JFC’s continued support and look forward to partnering on Maine Wishes for years to come.” - Kate Vickery, Make-A-Wish Maine Executive Director
